Hi Neighbor,

We’re proud of the rural partners and storytellers who’ve trusted us with their stories over the past two years. That work, grounded in real relationships, local leadership, and care for place, has taught us a lot about what actually works when we talk about public investment in rural communities.

We’re hosting a short learnings webinar to share what we’re seeing so far. What resonates, what we’ve learned, and what helps rural stories land in a way that feels true and useful.

This won’t be a report walk-through. It’s a conversation about lessons from the field – drawn from more than 200 people-first stories across 41 states – and how those insights can support the work you’re already leading.

When LFPA funding was cut, that progress was put at risk. We recently shared their story in a Facebook promotion, and the community response speaks volumes. It’s a reminder that rural stories matter – and that placing them locally helps people see what’s at stake. Story told in collaboration with Communities Unlimited. Photo by Rory Doyle.

We hope you’ll join us for Lessons from Two Years of Rural Storytelling on February 4, 2026, at 11am PST / 12pm MST / 1pm CST / 2pm EST. You can register to join the conversation here.

We’ll share more after the session with folks who want to dig deeper. For now, we're looking forward to continuing to learn alongside you.

In gratitude,

Resource Rural
